Bali’s dry season occurs between the months of April and October and is the busiest time of year for tourism on the island. July, August and September are particularly busy months as the humidity is low and the rainfall minimal, making for a comfortable time to holiday in Bali.

With little rainfall and oodles of sunshine it can get really hot so it’s nice to know that you can take a dip in your private pool, relax in your fully air conditioned bedroom or read a book under the fan in the outdoor living areas.

Bali’s wet season begins at the end of October and lasts until the following March. It’s a humid, sticky, sweaty brow time of year, and for this reason some people avoid visiting during this time, except of course over the Christmas and New Year period where the island is packed to the rafters. There are many overlooked advantages that the tropical rain brings with it. Surfers report massive swells during the wet season while the general mood on the island in relaxed and lazy. The humidity is at its highest point and there are fluctuations between moody rainstorms that soak the island to warm steamy days with cloudless skies.

When the rain sets in, there are plenty of options to fill your days. You can utilise the free villa membership to the Canggu Club (a 10 minute taxi ride) and take the most of their newly renovated facilities which include Splash Water Park, with loads of slides to keep the kids amused for hours. While for the adults there is a full gym, tennis centre, spa, bars and restaurants. Canggu Club also boasts a range of new facilities for the kids including:
